Easy walking or driving distance from Starfish Blue, Wananavu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat inside or open air deck, the Wananavu singers serenade nightly with local and well-known songs accompanied by a ukulele. Check with the resort, but every week, mostly on a Thursday, they offer a lovo (traditional feast) and meke (traditional dance.) A must see. Nightly they offer a sample from the kava bowl. Moderately expensive
Located about a 5 minute drive away, this casual restaurant is part of a seaside resort. Open air with sand floor bar, you can also dine on the covered deck. You can enjoy burgers, curries, or fish. I personally think their fish and chips and the best in Fiji. Reasonably priced.
Not the golden arches! Located on Nananu-I-Ra Island, MacDonald’s offers fish, burgers, chips, pizzas, and toasted sandwiches. The dinner menu changes nightly and you must order by 3 PM that day if you’re coming for dinner. MacDonald’s is on a lovely stretch of beach with hammocks and excellent snorkeling, however, they do not offer bathrooms for non-overnight guests. Reasonably priced.
You may have noticed this restaurant/hotel on the way from the airport on the coast. It’s about a half hour from Starfish Blue.
On the way to and from Nadi- Lautoka
a great place to eat on the way to or from the airport, it’s especially fine if you combine it with a spa treatment either before or after your flight.
I usually eat here either on the way up to the house or back down- the taxi drivers know how to find it. It is open for breakfast and lunch and closes at 4 PM. Western style, friendly café with smoothies, quiches, sandwiches, etc.
Western style dishes at fabulous prices with a great mix of locals.
Rosie and Reshmi will be happy to come prepare a meal for you at the house. The meal must be paid for in advance so they purchase the ingredients. See the Starfish Blue Menu page for more details. NOTE- prices on that page are in Fijian currency.
